FDP on COMPUTATIONAL FLUID DYNAMICS

The Department of Mechanical Engineering,Sree Chaitanya College of Engineering,LMD Colony,Thimmapur,Karimnagar organized “FDP” on COMPUTATIONAL FLUID DYNAMICS at college on 9th and 10th January, 2015.It is an opportunity for the academicians working at various Engineering and polytechnic colleges to get the knowledge on recent advances in COMPUTATIONAL FLUID DYNAMICS techniques and their applications to the real world problems. The eminent professors from NIT Warangal and Industrial experienced hands were delivered lectures and provided hands on experience during this program. 60 faculty from various institutions were participated in this program.
Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) is a branch of fluid mechanics that uses numerical analysis and algorithms to solve and analyze problems that involve fluid flows. Computers are used to perform the calculations required to simulate the interaction of liquids and gases with surfaces defined by boundary conditions. With high-speed supercomputers, better solutions can be achieved. Ongoing research yields software that improves the accuracy and speed of complex simulation scenarios such as transonic or turbulent flows. Initial experimental validation of such software is performed using a wind tunnel with the final validation coming in full-scale testing.

SHODHA 2K14

SHODHA is a National level student’s technical fest conducted by Mechanical Engineering Department every two years, where budding engineers from across the country come to share their knowledge and explore the possibilities of understanding the contemporary technical advancements. The caption for Shodha2k14 is searching of “Rise in the spirit of innovation”

Our symposium " SHODHA-2K14" challenges the young vibrant minds to focus and concentrate on chosen activities and exhibit them in a fluid, innovative and creative way. Shodha  provides a Platform for the emerging technocrats to bring out their hidden talents in events like Paper Presentation, Poster Presentation , Project Expo , Quad copter NRC , Anatomy Of  Royal Bull, Technical & General Quiz, etc. This symposium will pave the way for our budding engineers to transform their dreams in to reality and to build a strong INDIA. More than 200 students from engineering colleges all over India participated in this Symphosim.

National level workshop on Vehicle Dynamics

1

Sree Chaitanya college of Engineering in association with Indian Society for New Era Engineers – ISNEE, conducted a three day national level workshop on “Vehicle Dynamics”. Mr. Umesh of ISNEE has delivered the lectures. About 75 students from various colleges including neighboring states such as Tamilnadu and Karnataka have participated.

Vehicle Dynamics refers to the dynamics of vehicles, that is, the study of forces influencing the motion of a vehicle. Several aspects, components such as vehicle layout, steering system, suspension system, tires, braking system etc affect the dynamics of a vehicle. This workshop’s aim was to introduce the students to basics of vehicle dynamics and expand on the basic topics to help them understand various aspects to be considered while designing an automobile. Some of the topics covered during the workshop were

Robotics Work Shop

Industrial visit

1

Industrial visit is a part of an Engineering course, during which students visit companies and get insight regarding the internal working environment of a company and how a company functions, as well as useful information related to the practical aspects of the educational course which cannot be visualized in lectures.

The industrial visit is considered one of the most tactical methods of teaching. It provides students with an opportunity to learn practically through interaction, working methods and employment practices. Moreover, it gives exposure from an academic point of view. Our students are visiting the following industries in every year.

Vizag Steel Plant Visakapatnam
Bharat Heavy Plate & vessels Visakapatnam
NTPC Ramagundam
HMT Bangalore.
HMT Hyderabad.
Praga tools Hyderabad.
Ashoka Leyland Bangalore.
